After having spent sometime listening to a suggested 83 show as well as a 93 show, I felt I should complete the circle and toss in some 73.

1973-06-24

Clementine suggested this show a while back and I really enjoy the Dark Star (havent really paid any attention to anything else from the show). While not the most mind blowing its certainly solid and nicely sectioned. Especially love the phil grooves at 7ish and when the band comes right back into dark star perfectly around 12-14?

My first show! Unbelieveable then, and awfully damn good now. A pretty fair intro to live Dead, don't you think?

I'm consumed with envy. I first saw them in 1979, and it took me a long time to realize that I missed out, but 1973 has been my favorite year for a many years now. This is a favorite Dark Star of mine and a lot of other people, apparently.
